Sun

A veritable ball of fire, it rises from the east, continuing its slow inexorable movement across the sky in a course as unshakeable as the heavens themselves.

Predictable and steadfast, the Sun continues its never ending cycle through the eons, the life blood of the billions who ever existed and will ever exist on this world.

And what if it ceases this journey one day? As the Sun sinks into its westernly grave beyond the sea, a glowing molten sphere, the heavens shimmering in hues of carmine and pink.

To be embraced by the cold eternal night, comforting in all its pervasiveness; soothing in its finality.
